If you're having trouble opening your .jar files(downloads as a .rar or .zip) make sure you are opening it with java. Now the easiest way to do this is by holding down your windows key and then press R. Type "%appdata%\.minecraft". Hit enter, and the folder will appear. -Open the bin folder and remove the minecraft.jar as well as any other version stored. -Place the minecraft.jar you just downloaded inside the bin folder to replace the one you just deleted. -Thats it! Last thing to do is to test Minecraft. Launch the game and create a world quick to test that you did everying correctly. ***SERVER ISNTRUCTIONS*** -Go back into the description of this video and follow the link to download the minecraft server file. -You will need to place this into it's own folder and then simply open it. -It will generate a handful of errors saying that it failed to open numerous files which is a good thing because it will create them for you. -Once it tells you that it's done you can close it if you would like to edit the server files, otherwise you're ready to start testing the new development build!
